Video Projects

Some recent project work

A holiday is no excuse to leave your day job at home. This is clearly a holiday video shot ad hoc on a super camera, which is a work in progress in terms of lugging it around and having the right stuff with you in a small set-up. Shot on Canon C70, mostly handheld, with 1/8 mist filter and circular polariser.

Ask a client to prepare a script in advance and it will save you hours in filming and especially editing.

I have avoided hand-held video shooting until recently, preferring tripods and gimbals. However, having built a rig with a top handle, the hand-held set up is quick to manage and means you don't miss shots. I still need to work on holding the camera steady!

Rock hopping with Mummy and Aunty. Being on holiday is a good opportunity to play with your camera set up. Still trying to master the hand-held system and have added a mini tripod, which is useful when placing the camera in the water!

I used a circular polariser and a one eighth mist filter. All the gear is just about dry and the sand should fall out in due course …

One of these days I'll take a tripod/gimbal and film these lovely boats properly. Orpington Pond is back in action!

The story of how we eventually found the right bike. And how, after much stumbling around, the perfect pedal bike was found.

So here is the story of a project I have been involved with for the last two years. The fabulously talented writer, composer and director Katherine Freeman had a project she wanted me to take a look at. The project was a musical film she had written and filmed with funding from a municipal arts department, could I take a look at the footage and edit it...... see my Blog for more.

Welcome to my cheesy piano playing!

My wife made a picture consisting of squares filled in with a random arrangement of 10 colours: each colour would represent one of each of the digits between 0 and 9

Early morning - we set off to Dartford Skate Park with a GoPro and an iPhone and a Strider Bike.

Teddy goes to Cyclemetots where he is encouraged to use Cheeta Legs for speed. Here he is putting them to use on the local BMX track. Video shot with an iPhone stuck on a boom pole!

James filmed our recent school production of Aladdin and also provided invaluable technical support in terms of lighting and sound. James is extremely efficient and edited the whole production in a matter of days, producing a fantastic record of the production and handling all orders in a seamless manner. He has also filmed our nativity productions and we will continue to use his services in the future as he is pleasure to work with, reliable and produces a top quality product
